I saw my doctor and feel it was a real breakthrough appointment.
I had miscalculated my prescription and had no medication for the weekend. I hobbled in the office really upset.
He was very good, and has ordered full blood work, including Rheumatoid checks, and a check for Anklosing Spondylitis which has been a fear of mine.
I'll also be getting an MRI too.
I learned something new today. Muslim women who wear full burka get prescribed vitamin D on the NHS.
It makes sense of course, but I had never thought about it.

Making money.
I've decided to step up my hustle and try and make some money from a blog.
I don't want to pimp this one out, because it's my baby and I'd like to keep it as it is right now, so I've joined up to a site called yuwie.
It sounds too good to be true. It's basically a pyramid, but a free one. One also gets paid for using it and uploading content. I'm going to give it a good bash, and see what happens.
Wish me luck, or even better... Sign up too

For Poitree xxx

You know sometimes, you don't realise the amount of people who actually take notice of the things you do? I got a PM from a wonderful young lady who reminded me that there are some wonderful people in the world! Thank you :D
I think I overdid it a bit today. I went for a longer walk than I should have, then I came home and made dinner. I flaked some salmon steaks and put them in a cheese sauce for my family, and a tomato sauce for myself as I'm trying to lose weight.
My back is killing me now, and I'm going to have a bath and have an early night.

Dedication!

I'm definitely meaning to start as I continue. In the UK we had the most snow we've had for decades. It's funny, my 18 year old sister was just in awe as she had never seen settled snow before and is now out with a whole lot of her friend snow fighting. lol
Even though it was cold and snowy, I still done my 3 minute walk today. I feel all good and noble.
Food today
An apple and a pear
A tomato sauce sandwich. Sounds disgusting, but it's the leftover sauce from the meatballs I've cooked.
Rice and peas with chicken and macaroni cheese.
I've made a pot of cabbage and carrot soup for this weeks lunch.
New Year - New Life.
Well I know it's a bit late to wish anyone a happy New Year, so I'll say that I hope that the first month as treated you well and that it will continue for the rest of the year.
Update on me.
I've moved out of my place and back into my mums. I was very update about it, however realistically, I couldn't afford to stay there anymore. It's been a hard few months, but now I'm relatively settle in and am now looking forward to getting myself well again.
I've got some goals that I've set for myself this week. I've broken them down in small chunks so as not to make myself have a pain flare and also they will hopefully be easier for me to achieve.
Physical goals
* To go for a 3 minute walk everyday.
* To go to the pool and do my hydrotherapy exercises 2 times this week.
* To do my baseline stretches every morning.
I know that sounds like nothing, but this is all I can manage for now and when I'm strong enough, I shall build up. I don't want to put myself in a flare and then be in bed
for days in pain.
Mental Goals
* Do half an hour a day of the worksheets in changing career for dummies.
* Write in my diary every evening.
* Meditate before bed.
One of the things that my counsellor has suggested is looking at alternative career ideas. I've been completely stuck and saw this book in my library. I had a quick skim and it looks good. There are lots of worksheets to complete and I think doing one a day will be good for me.
Not having the internet for ages got me starting a diary and it was very good for me to write down thoughts and feelings. It also got me actually writing again which is something I've always loved doing.
Diet goals
* Drink 2 litres of water everyday.
* Eat 2 pieces of fruit for breakfast.
* No snacking.
I have a lot of weight to lose, however rather than jump into it and get bored a week later, I want to do it controlled and slowly. In my mums house she has a lot of snacks and I've found myself snacking instead of eating properly. I want to cut out the snacking nonsense this week.
Hair and beauty goals
* Tighten locs for an hour or so every evening.
* Moisturise whole body everyday.
I've been very haphazard in tightening my locs, I'll start one week and then leave it and it ends up taking ages.
I want to do this in a very focused way this time. Maybe watch a film and then stop when it's over.

Nearly Friday...
I have an award ceremony tonight. Well, not just awards, but also a lecture... On Aviation. How boring is that and it's an hour an half. I'm thinking of sitting on the end to get away. I won't be able to sit for an hour and a half anyway. I'll have to be able to stand up at some point.
I've been good this week, I've given myself a facial and cut my nails. There were long and really out of shape, I looked like a witch! lol
I stopped taking my msm, and will start taking that again soon. I heard that omega 369 is good for joints and muscles too, so I'll be buying that with the money my dad doesn't know he's giving me for Christmas!!
LOL

A litte walk today.
I live across the road from a park. I decided to have a little walk today as the weather was a lovely crisp winters day. I didn't get far at all. However I noticed there are things there such as bins and benches that I can use as benchmarks to how far I've walked. I'm going to do this three times a week and try to slowly build up to everyday.
I feel so much better for it.
I'm back to doing fruit flushes for my period. Which is what I shall be doing this week!
